Effective ways to manage lymphedema, including manual lymphatic drainage, exercises, and compression

Axillary Web Syndrome
Axillary Web Syndrome (AWS) — also known as cording — is a common side effect of lymph node surgery.
The cords can be painful and may restrict movement, but it’s important to know that cording is not something you have to “learn to live with.” There are effective ways to manage it, and the majority of cords can go away within three months.
What’s included:
Educational information on what cording is and how to identify if you have cords
Stretches, exercises, manual techniques, and nerve glides to manage cording
Printable handouts & videos
One-time payment of $75
Arm Mobility After Surgery
It’s essential to ease back into exercise after breast cancer surgery, but the process can be hard to navigate alone.
This program guides you to regain arm mobility and build strength step-by-step, starting with stretching and gradually adding in strength. This is perfect for you if you currently experience discomfort & tightness and want to avoid long-term neck and shoulder issues.
What’s included:
Educational information on how breast cancer surgery affects the body & important safety guidelines
Stretches & strength exercises for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
Manual techniques for tightness and discomfort
One-time payment of $75
Breast Swelling/Lymphedema
Breast cancer surgery and radiation commonly cause swelling of the chest or breast area.
Whether you’re dealing with temporary swelling or chronic lymphedema, there are ways to reduce the discomfort and keep the swelling at bay. In this program, you’ll learn how to assess your risk for lymphedema and seven effective ways to manage chest & breast swelling.
What’s included:
Educational information on swelling and signs of lymphedema
Ways to reduce swelling & manage lymphedema, including compression, lymphatic drainage, and more
Exercises to move the fluid out of a congested area
One-time payment of $75
Scar Tissue
Scar tissue is a natural part of the healing process after breast cancer surgery, but it can sometimes cause tightness and weakness.
You don’t have to accept the limitations that scar tissue causes as your “new normal.” There are things you can do to soften the scar tissue and reduce discomfort, and we’re going to cover them in this program.
What’s included:
Educational information on scar tissue formation & what to expect
Soft tissue mobilization exercises that you can do at home
Tips on how to minimize the appearance of scar tissue after surgery

Rehab After Radiation
Radiation therapy is an effective breast cancer treatment, but it can cause unwanted side effects like pain, tightness, and skin changes.
There are ways to help treat radiation side effects and gain your strength & mobility back. This program is a great resource for people who’re preparing for radiation or those who’ve gone through it and are now experiencing side effects.

Meet Kelly Sturm
I’ve spent a decade working with people living with & after cancer, and there’s one thing that I know for certain —
You don’t have to accept pain, discomfort, and limitations as a part of your “new normal.”
There are steps you can take to minimize your symptoms and maximize your life, and I created Breast Cancer Rehab to help you do just that.
Doctor of Physical Therapy (PT, DPT), Board-Certified Oncology Specialist, CLT-LANA
I Believe That
No One Should Have to Go Through Breast Cancer Alone
But, unfortunately, high-quality support for people living with & after cancer is not always readily available. And when it is, it’s often inaccessible because of the cost.
To bridge the gap, I took the exact information & exercises I use with my private patients and turned it into Breast Cancer Rehab, an online program that comes at a fraction of the cost of physical therapy.
My hope is that this program will make breast cancer support more accessible so more people can reclaim control of their lives.
A Note on Affordability
My objective has always been to make support and education for those living with & after cancer as accessible as possible.
To make Breast Cancer Rehab more affordable, there are scholarships available to assist those in need. Please submit the form here.
If the program is not the right fit for you, I also have hundreds of hours of free content available on YouTube. You can start watching here.
